PR Superstar Salutes Girlguiding UK

Girlguiding UK has launched a high-profile public relations campaign aimed at highlighting airbrushed photos and their damaging impact on young people.

The PR campaign is urging Government to introduce compulsory labelling on ‘touched-up’ images in magazines, following Girlguiding UK research which found that 50% of 16-21-year-old girls would consider having surgery to change the way they look. A petition has also been launched.

What a relevant and timely public relations campaign that should hopefully secure long overdue change - it should also help to shape a generation of self-confident girls and young women, as well as catapult Girlguiding UK into the 21st Century and drive an army of eager new recruits their way! SAM Property PR Campaign a Hit

Wimbledon’s All Saints C of E Primary is the latest school to sign up for our ‘SAM for Schools’ campaign, that we created for PR Superstar client Samuel Estates.

Nigel Chandler, of St John Fisher Primary School’s PTA, also Wimbledon and a member of ‘SAM for Schools,’ said: “This is an excellent way for a local business to support schools in their area, where both organisations are benfiting by supporting each other.”

Samuel Estates, the award-winning and innovative residential lettings, management and sales agency, with offices in Colliers Wood and Balham, launched the ’SAM for Schools’ property PR and fund-raising campaign last year.

How ‘SAM for Schools’ works:

* Schools across South West London are invited to sign up and get involved

* Parents, teachers, their families, friends and associates who are wanting to sell or let their property can raise funds for their local school by using Samuel Estates, who will donate 15% of their fees to each school generating a successful sale or let.

* Each school chooses their own worthwhile fund-raising cause – such as new computer or sports equipment, creation of a school garden or vegetable plot, more books for the school library, and so on.

Schools in South West London wanting to join ‘SAM for Schools’ should contact Jill Kent at PR Superstar public relations consultancy on 020 8274 0807.
